Precise Touring - Who?

Precise Touring is the creation of Gina Coates, a live touring specialist who has worked on all sides of the live circuit for several decades. In this time, she has managed thousands of shows for numerous bands, promoters and event companies; from intimate small clubs up to stadiums and major festivals.

The live music industry is something that Gina fell into ‘by accident’ having left Bath University with a BSc. in Molecular Biology but with a loss of desire for that career path.

Gina started in venues, booking and helping to promote locally in Bristol (at The Fleece and The Louisiana) and after a brief sojurn in London, Gina decided that she wanted to hit the road, as a Promoter’s representative. Starting with small acts and venues with Metropolis Music, she progressed over the years to production managing stadiums, Coldplay Viva La Vida tour at Wembley Stadium in 2009, being one of numerous career highlights.

Concurrently during this time, Gina progressed to being V Festival Chelmsford’s Production Manager, having worked on numerous roles at that festival for seven years. She was in that role for 6 years, working with hundreds of acts including Beyonce / Rihanna / Eminem and Justin Timberlake.

Having toured around the UK for several years, working in almost every venue, Gina decided to see what life was like on the other side of the fence.

Never one to do things by half, her first tour was The Thrills in 2007 as Tour / Production manager. She has since toured the globe numerous times with several acts. She still does tour manage but is now taking it upon herself to study accountancy as another string in her heavily armed bow and to launch Precise Touring as a way of propagating her unique expertise.

Gina has recently become a qualified bookkeeper after passing AAT Level 3
